MetrOasis is the ONLY esthetics school in the WORLD to include a professional multifunction esthetician machine in their esthetician student kit! (That we know of)

Our Esthetics Program

The Germans have an interesting saying -

"Das Billige ist immer das Teuerste."

which means - "The cheapest is always the most expensive.”

This is a good thing to consider while you're shopping for an esthetics program to attend. If you don't get the advanced training you need in your basic program, you'll have to pay for it later. If you don't get the equipment that you need in your basic program, you'll have to pay for it later but then you won't know how to use it. If you don't get your own multifunction machine in your basic program, you'll have to get one later, for more money, and you won't know how to use it either.

So saving a few dollars by going to the cheap school will cost you much more in the long run.

The MetrOasis Beauty School & Advanced Training Center Esthetics Program offers students a realistic clinic room experience with the newest and most exciting aspects of esthetics training.

You will train on ultrasonic, galvanic, microdermabrasion, microcurrent, and photorejuvenation equipment and be trained to provide traditional luxury treatments in one of our esthetics theme rooms. We are proud to provide the most extensive Esthetician Program in the State of Alaska.

You may work on a manikin face the first couple of days of basic training to learn basic massage techniques and then you work on real people while some schools have you training on manikins your entire program instead of working on clients. Ask this question BEFORE you sign up!

Our students benefit from the vast knowledge of our staff, educational videos from around the world, and online links. Graduates from our Esthetician Program have gained employment in spas, doctorʼs offices, and makeup counters in many different locations and many have opened their own businesses.

Our Esthetician Program curriculum includes all the Milady's Esthetics Curriculum including -

Online Chapter Testing (above)

Comprehensive Testing (above)

NIC Testing (above)

Esto-Jeopardy - We have collected the hardest, trickiest, and the sneakiest questions on the state board exam over the years and have combined them into a Jeopardy Game.

Secrets to Passing The State Board Exam - We teach our students the publication "Secrets to Passing The State Board Exam with explanations for each of the question types and timing strategies.

Sigel's Secrets to Passing the State Board Exam - We teach our students Sigel's Secrets To Passing The State Board Exam which are inside tips that Sigel has collected during his 42+ years in the beauty industry and combined these tips into a strategy class.

We teach the above listed curriculum elements

as well as the following advanced curriculum that

other schools in Alaska simply do not teach.

(Think we're kidding? Ask them.)

Ultrasonic Deconstruction - We teach you how to perform polishing microdermabrasion using an ultrasonic device that vibrates between 1.1 and 1.2 million vibrations per second that pulverize dead skin cells so that you can remove this debris with typical esthetic cleansers. We learned these techniques in Los Angeles, Bologna, Barcelona, and Paris.

Ultrasonic Sonophoresis - We teach you to push products deeper into the skin with specific techniques using box-wave ultrasonic vibrations that help products penetrate into the skin without cavitating the moisture content out of your products. We learned these techniques in Long Beach, Paris, and Barcelona.

Ultrasonic Fine Line Reduction - We teach you how to use a chisel-point ultrasonic device to remove dead skin cells on critical flex points on your client's skin that make small lines less visible. We learned these techniques Los Angeles, Seattle and Paris.

High-Frequency Acne Treatments - We teach you how to use high-frequency equipment to kill Propionibacterium acnes that cause acne breakouts. This device uses about 20,000 volts and increases detox, microcirculation, and helps shrink pores. We learned these techniques in Barcelona, Seattle, Bologna, Los Angeles, and Paris.

Viennese Facials - We teach our students how to do Viennese Lifting Treatments that incorporate high-frequency equipment that causes the skin and underlying tissues to vibrate thousands of times per second which increases microcirculation, micro-respiration, detoxification and lifts saggy and tired skin. This treatment was developed in Poland but we learned it in Los Angeles.

High-Frequency Pore Treatments - We teach our students how to perform a deep-pore cleansing treatment followed up by high-frequency treatments to reduce the obviousness of large pores. This is especially effective around the nasal labial folds and the nose. We learned these techniques in Bologna, Los Angeles, Seattle and Paris.

Microcurrent Skin Treatments - We teach our students to perform microcurrent treatments that increase microcirculation, speed up mitochondrial activity that energizes and refreshes crepey skin. We learned these treatments in Paris-France and Bologna-Italy and through a class at Harvard.

Microcurrent No-Surgery Face Lift Treatments - We teach our students how to perform the Microcurrent No-Surgery Facelift Treatment using the microcurrent modality on their multifunction esthetician machine. This treatment resets the Golgi tendon organ and allows fatigued muscles to return to their normal resting state. We learned these treatments in Paris-France, Barcelona, Bologna-Italy, and Los Angeles-USA.

425NM Photorejuvenation (acne) - We teach our students how to use photon therapy in the blue wavelength range (near 425 NM) to kill the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes, or P. acnes, on the skin and this treatment can be combined with simultaneous microcurrent treatment if you desire. We learned these techniques in Paris-France, Bologna-Italy, Barcelona-Spain, and Los Angeles-USA.

550NM Photorejuvenation (Pigmentation) - We teach our students how to use green light in the near 550NM range to target dark circles, pigmentation, broken capillaries, and if used with red light in the near 677 NM range to treat sunspots. This treatment also calms irritated or over-stimulated skin. We learned these techniques in Paris-France, Bologna-Italy, Barcelona-Spain, and Los Angeles-USA.

600NM Photorejuvenation (Lymphatic Drainage) - We teach our students how to use photons (near 600 NM) in yellow light range to reduce redness and wrinkle-causing inflammation while boosting circulation and increasing lymphatic drainage which works by stimulating the rejuvenation process within your cells to improve the density of our client's skin. We learned these techniques in Paris-France, Bologna-Italy, Barcelona-Spain, and Los Angeles-USA.

677NM Photorejuvenation (Therapeutic) - We teach our students how to provide photorejuvenation treatments in the near 677 NM range which supercharges mitochondria and if used in conjunction with microcurrent also helps distribute this additional energy to surrounding cells. This refreshes your skin, helps increase circulation, and evens out blotchy skin. We learned these techniques in Paris-France, Bologna-Italy, Barcelona-Spain, and Los Angeles-USA.

Power-mist Moisturizing Treatments - The multifunction esthetician we provide our students in their Esthetician Student Kit includes a power sprayer function so we can mist the face with warm or cold mists as well as infused mists of green tea, Earl Gray tea, moisturizers, serums and a host of other infusing ingredients without flaring rosacea which is impossible for hot salon steamers to do.

Power-mist Occlusion Treatments - We teach our students to apply the correct molecular-sized moisturizers and serums with a micro-power-mister and then to occlude those products deeper into the skin with an impermeable membrane and/or product.

Galvanic Desincrustation Treatments - We teach our students how to use the galvanic modality on their multifunction esthetician machine to soften hardened sebaceous oil and to convert this oil with the salt on their client's skin through the process of saponification into soap. This makes dealing with acne much easier and much more effective.

Galvanic Iontophoresis Treatments - We teach our students how to use the galvanic modality on their multifunction esthetician machine to induce anti-acne products into the skin through cataphoresis.

Occlusion Facials - We teach our students occlusion facials which are also known as "infusion facials" in France where we learned this technique. We layer specific molecularly sized products in a particular order and occlude them deeper into the skin with various other materials as diverse as cucumbers, seashells, organic chocolate, etc. We learned these techniques in Paris, Baden-Baden, Colmar, Cochem, Lucerne, Strasbourg, and Tubingen.

Vacuum Acne Treatments - We teach our students how to use the vacuum function on their multifunction machine which includes three venteuses to remove dead skin cells, debris and cosmetic left-overs from the skin while increasing microcirculation, and increasing elasticity.

Diamond Microdermabrasion Treatments - We teach our students the proper way to use diamond microdermabrasion equipment to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and follow this treatment up with ultrasonic polishing techniques. We've learned these techniques throughout Europe, Canada and the US.

Computerized Skin Analysis - We teach our students

Skin Scope Analysis - We teach our students how to use our skin scope to analyze their client's skin under a specific light spectrum and how to identify sun damage, scars, dead skin cells, two types of acne bacteria, and oil deposits. The viewing port of our skin scope also allows for photos to be taken for the client's covenience.

We have been teaching sugaring for about 26 years. They've been around for just a few years. Oops! We don't just teach you how to do sugaring, we teach you how to make your own Sukar sugaring product. Oops, Oops! (This means that we've been teaching sugaring almost nine times longer than they've even been in business.)
