Grounding
Facials
You can add "grounding" to any facial treatment that we offer. What is grounding? Grounding, sometimes called Earthing, is a process where your facial is electronically connected to the earth. Yep, that same earth that you're on right now. Grounding can improve blood circulation, helps your sleep patterns, helps reduce and helps prevent inflammation, helps calm your nervous system, and can provide you with more energy. This all has to do with negative ions. These ions are the same reason you feel so good at the beach or when you're near a waterfall. These negative ions reverse the effects of ROS (reactive oxygen species) otherwise known as "free radicals."
The US National Library of Medicine / National Institutes of Health tell us that we should tap into the vast number negative ions in the earth's surface for 30 - 40 minutes each day, and this is the minimum length of time for our facial treatments, so, you're set!

The grounding process during our facials can consist of one or two different set-ups. The grounding mask is when a gauze treatment mask is saturated with a liquid, usually water, aloe, or Black Shungite activated water, or even a water-diluted product, and then an electrical clip is attached to this treatment mask.
There is then a wire attached to the grounding wire in a wall plug or attached to a cold water pipe.
The other method is the active grounding facial is when a the esthetician wears a wrist band attached to a grounding wire and the entire facial procedure is grounded. If Black Shungite stones are used to activate the treatment water, these stones absorb toxins from the water as well as having catalytic and bactericide properties, as well as the ability to absorb and neutralize high-frequency electromagnetic radiation from the water.
